Seminar Coordinators

Seminar Coordinators are Faculty members who are appointed by the Research Coordinators. Each of CentER's research groups has its own Seminar Coordinator, who is responsible for organizing seminars. Any Faculty Member can make suggestions for inviting seminar speakers to the Seminar Coordinator of his or her research group.

Tasks:
- to supply the Secretarial Office with exact personal details of the person to be invited (name, affiliation, mailing address, phone, fax, e-mail, period of stay, hotel preference);
- to hand in the title and abstract of the seminar to the Secretarial Office before the 15th of the month preceding the month in which the seminar takes place (so that the seminar can be included in CentER's Bulletin and Homepage);
- to make sure the seminar room is sufficiently equipped according to the wishes of the Seminar Speaker;
- to make sure the Seminar Speaker receives his reimbursement via the Secretarial Office on the day of the seminar (preferably before the seminar takes place);
- to invite the Seminar Speaker for dinner after the seminar. Costs are shared by the group atttending the dinner, with the exception of the speaker, whereby Ph.D. students are counted as half a person.

For more information on Seminar Coordinators, contact the Secretarial Office.
